This month's topic is : Migrations

We will be kicking off the evening with:

Mirgrating from Magento to WordPress with Warren Moore

Hitting the ground running with WooCommerce as a starting business may be quick and easy, but when you're established and making a jump to a new platform, how can you bring all of your legacy data with you? The biggest migrations we come up against are moving Magento or Shopify to WooCommerce, bringing across customers, products, and all historic order information. In this talk I'll talk a bit about navigating the minefield that's Magento's database structure, the differences in how they operate, and the pitfalls to avoid, when trying to migrate years of your customer's history.Fingers crossed I'll have our migration plugin cleaned up and open-sourced too.

We will spend the rest of the evening discussing different migrations we have done and have a group discussion on the woes and successes of migrating WordPress to and from other platforms.

If you have a migration story you would like to share, we would love to hear from you.
