Scaling Wordpress with containers
"So, you've spent weeks developing your new site, push it live. You go to sleep and it finds its way on the front page of Hacker News. Panic ensues as your woken up by your CEO at 4am, telling you we need more capacity and fast. What do you do? Spin up a bigger server? What is the bottleneck? php-fpm? nginx? MySQL?
In this presentation, I will show you how to get a simple site using the WordPress REST API from local development, through to production on Kubernetes (with a demo, or two mixed in), that scales.
