Game-itoba is happening this weekend! Jan 24-26. GAME-ITOBA – Winnipeg's Gaming Convention

This is a board game convention, where dozens upon dozens of board games will be played, at the same time! Here is the general schedule, and cost to get in:

• Jan 24, Friday, 6PM-12:30AM. $20
• Jan 25, Saturday, 9AM-12:30AM. $35
• Jan 26, Sunday, 9AM-4:30PM. $20

Or you can get a weekend pass which is $40. Weekend pass can be bought here: game.aduck.ca, or you can show up and pay *cash* at the door (both weekend and daily).

You can grab one of the free games supplied by the convention (list here: Game Library – GAME-ITOBA), and then find a free table. There is also a long list of Scheduled Games to be run by GMs (list found here: game.aduck.ca/everything.php), but you will need to get that season pass first, to get a badge number, then you can reserve a spot online.

Speaking of scheduled games

-Sebastian is running Arcs for Friday, starting at 9:30PM. Game is expected to take 45 min per player, so a max of 3 hours. Arcs is a space-game with a unique trick-taking adjacent mechanic. It's a very violent and confrontational game. Expect to have all your stuff robbed and blown up... and then do the same to your opponent on the next turn.
