TILITER MACHINE VISION

So how does a robot see the world? The first part is straightforward. We use a video camera, just like the one in your smart phone, to collect a constant stream of images. The second part is the tricky part, helping the robot makes sense of those images! In this months blast furnace we will be accompanied by Chris from Tiliter Technology who will step us through how to build and test some machine vision software to help our own robots make sense of the world!

We will be using Python, Keras and Open CV to quickly implement machine vision detection software for hand written numbers and letters.

For those interested in the coding comps we will run some competitions and give you plenty of opportunity to accrue points for the blast furnace leaderboard. Make sure you have your CYFERLINX account setup to get the points!

It's a BYOC (bring your own computer) event. We will provide power, WiFi and Pizza!
