Dear all,

let us take part in this year's Westhavelland Astrotreffen. There you'll get the chance to observe through a variety of instruments, from small refractors to pretty big reflectors.

One of the many targets we're gonna observe is comet 21/P Giacobini-Zinner, a little periodic comet giving a show these weeks. Discovered in 1900, it has a period of 6,6years. During the current perihelion passage it has reached around 6th magnitude. It has been an easy binocular target from early August; I could instantly locate it through my 25x100.
