Ceph; object, block ve file system desteğini bir arada sunan, yüksek performanslı, yatayda büyüyebilen, açık kaynak kodlu bir depolama platformudur. Örneğin OpenStack ile birlikte kullanıldığında cinder, nova, swift, manila gibi bileşenlerin ihtiyaç duyduğu object, block ve file system desteğini tek bir platform ile sağlaması sayesinde diğer çözümlerden bir adım öne geçmektedir. Eşsiz CRUSH algoritması sayesinde metadata gerektirmeden ciddi performans avantajı sağlamaktadır.
