We are trying to contact the living! Pauline Hamblin & Anne Watts attended our first meeting yesterday. We have joined so are now registered with you. What do we do now? Next meetings and which is the next book to read etc?
Do you need our contact details etc. What do we do next?

Hi Pauline! It was great that you and Anne attended the other day. Thanks for joining us! December's book is normally chosen as something a bit different to what we normally read, so we're going to do Stoner by John Williams. We will then meet up at either the end of December or the start of January to discuss. I'll post that on Kommunity once a date has been agreed. Other than that, keep an eye on Kommunity to see which books we're doing in the new year. I'll announce them shortly. We typically meet around the third Thursday of each month at Kingston Library. I ask that members RSVP on Kommunity so we have a rough idea of who to expect. Fire away if you have any other questions!
@davidinman and for everyone in the group, here is a list of all the books we've read previously:
Four thousand weeks: time management for mortals
Derren Brown - Happy
Regrets of the dying - Georgina Scull
Peter Singer - Practical Ethics (second or third edition)
Maybe you should talk to someone
The Nanny State Made Me
Flowers for ...show more

About
Hello! This is a group for people who are interested in reading and discussing psychology, philosophy, and themes around those topics.
Everyone is welcome, whether you're a seasoned psychologist, have just read your first book on philosophy, or if you're 20 or 60. Having the right attitude is the most important thing!
I'm hoping we can build a friendly sociable group who want to share and discuss ideas, read books, and maybe go for a drink afterwards.
Where
We will be meeting once a month at Kingston library, on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
Suggestions
If anyone has any books they recommend or think might be of interest then please feel free to send me a message or post it on the Meetup group. Don't be shy :)
Some ideas of books which we will probably cover:
- Thinking fast and slow
- An introduction to political philosophy
- The consolations of philosophy
- The examined life
- The outsider
- The man who mistook his wife for a hat
