Public Speaking Mentorship: Sarah Conway

Kadin Yazilimci proudly presents our special guest speaker, Sarah Conway!

We are working on a Public Speaking Mentorship program to mentor more women to give technical speeches. We will invite inspiring mentors to share insights with our community while we are also working on a closed mentorship program.

Sarah is our first speaker, and we are excited to have her with us! The event is online and free, but registration is required to get the link before the event starts.

Sarah is a technology evangelist with over 12 years of experience coaching, leading, and helping others. She has a passion for identifying roadblocks and opening them, improving the accessibility of software, and learning for others. She is motivated by encouraging others to work with their strengths and help them share their knowledge and experience in a manner that they enjoy and benefit others. She has been most actively involved in the PostgreSQL community, although her experience ranges across the open-source world.

Her varied experience involves technical and non-technical roles, yet most are strongly rooted in developer advocacy, relations, and developer experience. Some roles include cloud solutions architect, senior software engineer, technical support engineer, senior frontend developer, IT administrator, non-profit board director, diversity committee chair, social media manager, technology consultant, conference organizer, content writer, instructor, and even violin/viola teacher and performer.

Always interactive and engaged externally in developer communities, she has been recognized as one of the top 100 most influential in the database community in 2022 by the Redgate 100. https://www.red-gate.com/hub/redgate-100/

For a personal look into who she is and her involvement in the open source community, check out my interview featured in #PostgresFriends “PostgreSQL Person of the Week”. https://postgresql.life/post/sarah_conway_schnurr/
