Hello Bay Area watchdog journalists, 

We’re kicking off IRE / NICAR meetups in San Francisco, a new initiative from IRE to get us together a little more often and a little more local. For our first gathering, we’re meeting for a casual family picnic at Mission Dolores Park at Dolores Street and 19th Street in San Francisco, from Noon to 3p on Sunday, Nov. 5. 
 

Come mingle with fellow investigative and watchdog journalists (you don’t need to be an IRE or NICAR member) and our families to build relationships, learn from each other and perhaps even partner on stories.
