Node-RED: A Makers Perspective
About

Node-RED is fast becoming an essential resource for developing Internet-enabled services. It's easy to learn, and incredibly powerful.

By the end of this workshop, you will have built a desk gadget that is connected to all sorts of useful internet resources, mostly powered by Node-RED. Get a heads-up if storms are inbound, if you have unread emails, or whatever else matters to you. This is a DIY project with 3D printed parts and everyday maker hardware. It's not a take-home project, but it's hands-on, guided, and a lot of fun. You'll need to bring your own laptop, however, all other hardware is provided.

For those interested in the coding comps we will run 6 competitions and give you plenty of opportunity to accrue points for the blast furnace leader board. Make sure you have your CYFERLINX account setup to get the points!

It's a BYOC (bring your own computer) event. We will provide power, WiFi and Pizza!
