What do you want out of a vehicle? How do you do research? What do you look for when you're looking AT the thing? What do you bring when you go to see it? How do you know you're not buying a lemon? What are lemon laws? How do you do a good test drive a vehicle? Can you do this on your own or should you bring someone? What stuff should you put in your contract? What kind of red flags should you run away screaming from? What are you responsible for if someone wants to buy your car?

SO many questions when you're looking at buying a vehicle! We'll compare notes and I'll provide some foundation so you won't be going into a transaction blind. Whether you're buying private, from a rinky-dink dealer or a national chain, there are always basics you should know before starting, while you're dealing, and as you drive away!

WHAT TO BRING:

 -$10 Cash (if you haven't paid yet, see FAQs for mobile/e-payment options)

-Gloves (work, vinyl, latex, whatever to keep you from getting dirty)

-Flashlight (or phone is fine)

-Any tools you want to use or learn about

-A big piece of cardboard, creeper (the flat rolly thing to lay on to get under the car) or something to lay on if you want to see under the car

Class is 1 hr long. We will meet at the Auto Center parking lot at the Hillsborough Walmart and park in a (approximately) circle with the fronts all facing each other, pop the hood and discuss, and finish with some Q & A.
