Terrain: footpaths, fields, towpath, country lanes. Flat.

Leaving Polesworth on the Coventry Canal, we head towards Pooley Country Park. After WAMMbling by the lakes there, we head through Alvecote Pools Nature Reserve and Alvecote Meadows Nature Reserve. After passing Alvecote Marina, we stop for a picnic lunch at the remains of Alvecote Priory. We then head back through Pooley Country Park again, pausing this time at the Golden Leaf Sculpture, before heading back along the towpath to Polesworth.

We will start walking promptly at 11.00am. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to locate us. The walk starts in the Grendon Road car park.
