Arduino 101 Workshop

The June Arduino meet up is going to be a hands-on workshop for anyone new to these micro controllers.

Using the Maker Kit from Particle ( https://particle.io ), the basics of a micro controller and how to program it to perform some basic functions will be introduced in this hands-on introductory session. Particle produces devices that are very similar to Arduino, and what you will learn will translate easily to working with Arduino.

You can reserve a Maker Kit for $10 (retails $89), and it will be yours to take home. Please register at https://bit.ly/2sNtqXj. We have limited number of kits available.

We will also introduce some of the ancillary devices, and introduce you to web sites and resources that is available for you to continue the learning and experimenting on your own.

We will be in a computer lab where the workshop will be conducted. You can also bring your own laptop and/or your own devices according to your preferences. But the instruction will be based on the Particle device.

The instructor will be Justin Grammens from IoTFuse and Lab 651, and the co-founder of the original Arduino group. He also currently teaches at St. Thomas.

If you want to reserve a kit, you MUST register for the event at https://bit.ly/2sNtqXj
