🔷 Speaker: Fatih Degirmenci (General Manager, CD Foundation at the Linux Foundation)

🔷 Abstract: New technologies such as #Kubernetes and methodologies such as #microservices are changing how software is developed, delivered, and deployed.
Additionally, bringing new products to the hands of users is happening much faster than before, making Continuous Delivery a critical aspect of doing business.

The CD Ecosystem has lots of tools and technologies that offer a variety of ways of delivering software with security and speed.
However, the increased number of tools and the resulting fragmentation within the ecosystem make it difficult for users to pick and choose tools to create secure, sustainable and scalable CD systems.
In this meetup, we will discuss the challenges within the CD ecosystem and highlight various open source initiatives.

🔷 Bio: Fatih works at the #LinuxFoundation, leading the #CDFoundation as its General Manager. He specializes in automation, infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps.

Before the CD Foundation, Fatih worked as a Principal Developer at Ericsson and was involved in several CI/CD initiatives internally and within open source.
He served in the OPNFV Technical Steering Committee and in the CD Foundation Technical Oversight Committee.
He founded the OPNFV XCI project, the OpenCI Initiative as well as the Interoperability and Software Supply Chain Special Interest Groups in the CD Foundation.
Prior to Ericsson, Fatih worked for Havelsan and provided expertise to its customers including BOEING and BAE Systems.
