Create impressive Presentations using Beamer LaTeX (Fri, 28th Oct, 1830 hrs).

MOTIVATION
Presentation slides are an important communication device when we want to communicate technical ideas, design with a larger audience.

in-person Seminars, Technical meetings and now online sessions are important platforms where many intellectual ideas are discussed.

Beamer together with powerful LaTeX provides an excellent tooling set for creating impressive slides. LaTeX is an alternative to Powerpoint, Impress etc.

You can re-use your diagram, your mathematical formulae and other scientific representations directly into a LaTeX presentation.

There is a large set of layout theme and color theme available which will be experimented during the session.

NOTE
This is a 'follow on' session from the LaTeX session held recently.

FOCUS
In this HANDS-ON session, we will learn, explore and create presentation slides.

Components of a LaTeX presentation
General structure

Beamer class and style capabilities
Using the LaTeX toolchain to produce a PDF document.

A2
We will discuss the design of 'Ankara' color theme and how it can be used in the slides.
We will create slides for a usecase ie. Linux bootloader talk.

SOFTWARE
You must have TeXLive distribution installed on your system. The rest of the artifacts will be provided as part of the session.

ONLINE
We use JITSI which has Audio, Video and Chat integrated in a single interface. Since JITSI is free software based service and has open interface, it is easily accessed using Browser or as a Android app.
