About
Wow, time flies don't you think?! It's been two years already since we first came together as PHP Amersfoort. Over the past years our community has grown to an amazing 175 phpeople. But it's not the number of people that make our local community so big, but it's the involvement and passion of the people behind this number.

Talk I - Dennis de Greef: Measuring Maintainability; Software metrics explained
In a world of ever-changing business requirements, how can you keep your software moving at the same pace?
If you keep adding lines of code around the previous iteration to add new functionality, things can become complex quite fast.
By measuring complexity, you can resolve and prevent bugs, while measuring class responsibility can make refactoring easier, for example.
In this talk he will go through certain concepts of analysing software with automated tools to spit out numbers which tell a story about your code.
Dennis de Greef is a software engineer at TransIP, one of the largest hosting companies in the Netherlands. He loves working on the thin line between system administration and software development, while keeping the whole architectural picture in place.
Talk II - Berry Langerak: Introducing Particle\Validator
Validation is a key aspect of all applications. Still, a lot of people are using validation libraries that force them to write insane amounts of code, or they aren't using a validation library at all. This madness must stop. With the introduction of Particle\Validator the task of validating incoming user data becomes easy.
