Talk: Make legacy great again!

With my talk I want to inspire fellow developers to forget weird myths and take the matters into their own hands in order to make the legacy they are working with - their legacy and make it a great one! I want to inspire a change of mindset when looking at legacy code, I want to set an understanding that legacy is actually ours - developers legacy and cannot be left in a bad state. I want to say that even if it's a bad, old legacy, there is always a way out and a nice bright light in the end of the tunnel.

I am a proud Lithuanian currently living and working in Netherlands for a fun e-commerce company called Coolblue. My professional experience consists mainly of working with big, fast-growing e-commerce companies for over 12 years such as pigu.lt, gog.com and currently - coolblue.nl. I am a developer focusing on SOLID principles, clean code and striving to re-factor and improve code every single day. I am on a war to debunk the myth that legacy code is boring and only new code is fun to work with.
