📚 Kitap Kulübü Buluşması #12 – Hakka Sığındık

İstanbul Ladies Kitap Kulübü’nün Nisan ayı buluşmasında bu kez Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar’ın Hakka Sığındık eseriyle bir araya geliyoruz. Roman; dönemin İstanbul’unda batıl inançlar, korkular ve toplumsal yapının iç içe geçtiği bir hikâye üzerinden insan psikolojisini ve toplumun zaaflarını hicivli bir dille ele alıyor.

Bir mahallede yayılan söylentiler ve görünmeyene duyulan korku, kısa sürede herkesin hayatını etkileyen bir paniğe dönüşür. İnsanlar yaşananları akıl yerine inanç ve korku üzerinden yorumladıkça, olaylar daha da karmaşık bir hal alır.

Bu buluşmada romanın karakterlerini, dönemin toplumsal yapısını, batıl inançları ve yazarın eleştirel dilini birlikte konuşacağız. Paylaşmaya, düşünmeye ve birlikte derinleşmeye açık, samimi bir sohbet bizi bekliyor. ☕📖

📚 Book Club Meeting #12 – Hakka Sığındık

In April, the Istanbul Ladies Book Club comes together to read Hakka Sığındık by Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar. Set in old Istanbul, the novel explores human psychology and social weaknesses through a story shaped by superstition, fear, and societal dynamics, told with a satirical tone.

As rumors spread through a neighborhood, fear of the unseen begins to take over. As people interpret events through belief rather than reason, the situation gradually turns into a collective panic affecting everyone’s lives.

At this meeting, we will discuss the novel’s characters, the social structure of the period, superstition, and the author’s critical perspective. A sincere and thoughtful conversation where we share and reflect together awaits us. ☕📖
