📚 Kitap Kulübü Buluşması #11 – Metropolis
İstanbul Ladies Kitap Kulübü’nün Mart ayı buluşmasında bu kez bizi geleceğin dev şehrine götüren Metropolis ile bir araya geliyoruz. Roman, gökyüzüne yükselen ihtişamlı yaşam ile yeraltında makinelerin ritmine bağlı çalışan işçilerin dünyasını karşı karşıya getirirken; güç, adalet ve insanlık kavramlarını sorgulayan çarpıcı bir anlatı sunuyor. 

Şehrin tüm düzeni görünmeyen bir emeğin üzerine kuruluyken yukarıda yaşayanlar kusursuz bir refahın içinde hayatlarını sürdürür. Bu iki dünyanın kesişmesiyle ortaya çıkan çatışma yalnızca sınıflar arasında değil; kalp ile akıl, sistem ile insan arasında da yaşanır. 

Bu buluşmada romanın dünyasını, karakterlerini, sınıf ayrımını, teknoloji ve modern şehir yaşamına dair sunduğu perspektifi birlikte konuşacağız. Paylaşmaya, düşünmeye ve birlikte derinleşmeye açık, samimi bir sohbet bizi bekliyor. ☕📖

📚 Book Club Meeting #11 – Metropolis
In March, the Istanbul Ladies Book Club comes together to read Metropolis, a powerful story set in the city of the future. The novel presents a striking contrast between the magnificent life above ground and the workers who live beneath the city, bound to the rhythm of the machines, questioning power, justice, and what it truly means to be human. 

While the entire system of the city is built on invisible labor, those above continue their lives in perfect comfort. As these two worlds begin to intersect, the conflict unfolds not only between social classes but also between the heart and the mind, the system and the individual. 

At this meeting, we will discuss the novel’s world, its characters, class division, and its perspective on technology and modern urban life. A sincere and thoughtful conversation where we share and reflect together awaits us. ☕📖
