I first heard about Eben a few years ago after I was talking with a friend from the Internet Mastermind Meetup. We got to talking about the gurus we followed, and exchanged some of the names that had really helped us in our own businesses.

He told me about Eben Pagan, and I told him about Gary Vaynerchuk.

He was so enthusiastic about Eben Pagan that he let me borrow a DVD program that Eben had created called Get Altitude.

So the Get Altitude program was originally a 7-day seminar in Vegas that cost $10,000 to attend. Then Eben recorded it and turned it into a video program, and sold it at $2,000 a piece -- and ended up making over a million dollars in sales from it.

That's the program I watched.

And it totally changed my business life. It was like an MBA in a box.

I'm going to tell you about it now, because it totally changed how I do business (for the absolute better!) -- and it might change how you do it too.

Speed of Implementation is a concept that came out of a Harvard study of sales professionals earning over $250,000 a year. They did this study to figure out if there was something these guys were doing different that made them so successful compared to lesser-earning people in the same industries and the same sales jobs.

And what they found was this — the people who implemented their ideas the fastest were the ones who were most likely to succeed.

This totally opened my eyes and when I started putting it into practice, it MASSIVELY increased my own success.

Two quick examples of Speed of Implementation:

1. I came up with my Social Media Director program in mid-January 2010. I launched in February and the first class was in March -- about 6 weeks (max) between getting the idea and selling out the first class.

2. After Facebook launched the new “Timeline” for Brand Pages on February 29th, 2012, people kept emailing my questions about it. So within a week I'd set up and launched the first Facebook for Brands Workshop (FBFB), and 11 days later it sold out 70+ tickets. I did this workshop several times in 2012 and had over 500+ people attend these live events.

After spending 1000’s of dollars on dozens of training programs, what I discovered was that creating information products is a GREAT way to position yourself as an expert. Something you can show to clients, to show them that you're worth your consulting fees.
