Fandom has caught the imagination of many, however, characters of racial, ethnic, disability, and gender and sexual minorities are often underrepresented in these stories. For example...

How many times have you wondered where are the superheroes and video game characters of color? Where are the LGBTQIA movie and tv roles? 

Have you ever questioned or been questioned about cosplaying a character who is not of your race or gender? 

Do you look around at conventions and wish there were at least a few more people who look like you or that geek spaces were more disability accessible? 

If so, this group is for you. We focus on exploring comics, literature, movies, TV shows, video games, cosplay, and conventions from an underrepresented perspective—including race and ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and physical and mental differences.  Although our group is located in the Triangle region of North Carolina, we also have many events online through Discord.  We engage in movie viewings, book discussions, gaming events, TV show premiere/finales parties, and convention outings. Our members are of different races and ethnicities, ages, genders, and sexual orientations. We feel it is just as important that our members represent diversity as it is to discuss inclusiveness in geekdom.
