This event raises awareness about the link between pet abuse and domestic violence. Not only is cruelty to animals frequently both an indicator and predictor of interpersonal, family and community violence, but an alarming number of women report that threats to their companion and farm animals prevent them from leaving abusive relationships. Funds raised from this event will help support the YWCA’s efforts to work with the SPCA to provide protective shelter for pets during a women’s stay in a shelter.

Celebrate your furry companions while supporting this important cause with a pet costume contest and parade, pet vendors, doggy trick-or-treating, Ruff Ruff Raffle, Cincinnati Circus, pet adoptions, food trucks and more!
