About
With the new year upon us what are some goals you have?
While we have heard about the typical "loosing weight", "Finding a significant other" or "finish writing a book". Have you ever considered aiming for a goal like developing social/communication skills and learning life hacks that can help you succeed in your careers?
As an immigrant where English was my second language, I was frustrated with my lack of clarity in communication and was often misunderstood. People said I was shy, quiet and mumbled which made communication difficult. Knowing that my lack of communication was my limiting factor, I made clarity and communication a priority goal that year and looked at different options out there. While many people would hire a speech coach or take a course on public speaking at thousands of dollars, i decided to check out an affordable alternative, Toastmasters. I joined a Toastmaster club. within a few months I learned many techniques of communication and found clarity in getting my thoughts across. There was however one thing missing.....Bubble Tea.

That's why Bubble Tea is proud to announce the pilot session of Bubble Tea Toastmasters (Meetup Toastmasters) where you can gather together, get to know one another and progress and find growth in our communication and leadership abilities. If it is popular we will continue the series and make it a regular thing.
If you are shy, don't worry, you don't have to talk if you don't want to, but there's the saying "No guts, no glory". You get more by taking risks and trying. And it is a safe place to make mistakes and learn from one another.
We will be kicking off our pilot event with the theme:
New Years Resolutions, how to set goals and keep them featuring a TED talk like style with an expert who can inspire us on how he kept his goals.
What are you waiting for? come out and have some fun!\
Cost: $5 donation
We can get bubble tea at strike afterwards.
New year's resolutions are easy to make but hard to keep. Come to this interactive workshop to pick up tools and strategies that will help you make change that sticks – and perhaps meet a few people along the way!
