Hello there BBT!

You are invited to join the Asian Social Group's "The BIG End of Summer Social BBQ" to celebrate the end of summer, on Saturday, September 1st, from 11am to 1:30pm at John Hendry Park (Trout Lake).

---What will happen---

Our main organizer, Paul Mei, will have a BBQ going and we'll be offering hamburgers and hot dogs to the group, along with some drinks and snacks, at the cost of $10/person.

We had considered doing a full-on potluck but because of the timing of this, it is just easier to supply the food. HOWEVER, we still do encourage you to bring food, snacks, drinks, whatever you want as we'll have a table for people to leave food and share it.

When you arrive, look for Ronald, who will collect your money and stamp your hand, so the cooks know who paid (we're going to prebuy the food first obviously).

The rest of the time feel free to hang out, make new friends, take pictures around the lake, whatever you like. If you want to bring a chair and just sit around, please feel free (there is little seating already there).

---But we still need helpers---

This BBQ will happen no matter what. However, these groups are volunteer run groups, this BBQ is volunteer run, and in fact, the organizer is losing money to meetup fees every month. We would really appreciate your offer to help.

If you are able to help us with the BBQ, please email me immediately (I'm at [masked] and I'll connect you with Paul who will coordinate.

We need help with:
1) Buying food and other supplies on Friday (table cloth, etc...) and bringing it on Saturday <-- most important.
2) Bringing tables from around the park to one place.
3) Cooking and preparing food (ie. cutting tomatoes,...)
4) Cleanup

---Time and Location---

The main crew will setup before 11am, but we'll officially start at 11am and start cooking for 1130am and probably cook until 1230pm or later, depending on how many people come.

We are at John Hendry Park (Trout Lake) in the South East corner, by the playground. There will be two or three BBQ's in the same area, just ask which one is Ronald and Paul's.
