The discussion last week about living and working in China was very good and many other topics came out of it. One such topic is how men/people in China are more ambitious than in Canada.

So we're going to have two more casual meetings at Sunflower Bubble Tea to hang out, play some cards/boardgames and talk about what is an Alpha Male, how to become one, and how being one influences your life. For example, will alpha men have more wealth, business success and overall contentment?

*(Note, although this topic will be about men, women are welcome to join).

How hard will be it be define what an Alpha Male is? The complaint now is that the modern man is no longer Alpha.

There are many traits of an Alpha Male from my viewpoint, he:

*is ambitious
*is confident and sure of himself
*makes concrete and long term plans for success
*doesn't care what others things
*respects women
*takes care of his family
*is not influenced by others easily
*is considerate and sees the big picture
*takes care of himself/his body

and I'm sure there's more.

The topic which I'd like to spend time discussing is "what is ambition/what does it mean to be ambitious".

For example, a female friend of mine told me yesterday that her friends who visit from China complain that the guys in Vancouver have no ambition.

She complained "(the guys) are happy with just Honda, they are OK only renting..."

Think about what this means for you.
