The Chief towers high above the town of Squamish and is a popular hiking destination that offers scenic views of Howe Sound and several mountains in Garibaldi Provincial Park.  We will just complete one of the three peaks ( shorter trip to the South Peak that still offers a spectacular view ).

We will carpool from Van as gas is expensive.  It is about one hour drive to get to the Chief and the hike itself is about 3.5 hours round trip.  For those who can offer a ride, please indicate that in your RSVP.
