TEXT COPIED FROM ORIGINAL MEETUP BELOW:
This is a cross-post, from several requests.
The genesis of this proposed meetup came from hearing a colleagues' three-time success in defeating cancer with the help of an unconventional method: Food.
His successful method reminded me of a Harper's magazine cover story about Dr. Nick Gonzales, who cured thousands of terminal cancer patients without a single failure, using the simple "cure", to "eat only what your particular genetic ancestors ate".
Therefore, I'm proposing that we have an unusual dimsum meetup, where we will not be ordering the usual yummy dishes. Instead, we will order only the dishes that have a positive medicinal or positive health value. Therefore, we will not be ordering steamed buns and crab cakes.
Instead, as I read recently in a food-bloggers meetup, we will order some surprisingly unusual food from the superb-and-expensive Grand Dynasty restaurant beside the Grand Villa hotel. Please budget at least $30 for this dimsum. We'll split the bill equally, except for drinks.
Here are a photo, taken by friends, of an unusual Grand Dynasty entree that is known in Chinese tradition to be of value to health.

In addition to food-as-medicine, I also propose that we discuss the new, free movie services, available at different public library systems. Plus, there's streaming movies available for free at YiFy.tv and even Yahoo Video searches, as has already been discussed in numerous meetup groups.
I also propose that we discuss whether movies are even worth watching! Many of us, meetup people, have permanently turned off our Boob-Tubes.
* Glysophate is one of the alleged major causes of autism, per MIT research, now affecting 1 in 47 live births; up from 1 in 15,000 live births in the 1960's. At current trends, autism will affect 1-in-2 births in less than 10 years. Isn't that a tragedy that should be avoided? For us adults, Glysophate is also said to be a cause of Alzheimers/dementia.
