Ronald from Asian Social is hosting a DSLR Camera Crash Course at his office.
Seems interesting enough - it will cost $2 for covering his meetup fee.

Description:
Hi there,
I've had a few people ask me to show them how to use a camera over the past year, so I thought I'd run a quick 2 hour afternoon crash course on how to use a digital camera to take good photos.

Ideally you have a digital camera that has a manual mode and a good understanding of where the main buttons on your camera are and what they do BUT if you don't and want to come learn about cameras for a future purchase, that is ok too.
Basically, I'll do my best to explain what the main parts and settings on your camera does and how you can learn to control your image. Then the rest is question and answer!
I'll also give you a list of other resources and instructors around the city that you can study to further your photography skills.
The cost is all of $5 for the meetup fee and room rental (I am paying for half the room myself, everyone else is pitching in the pay the other half). Please RSVP if this interests you and feel free to invite your friends.
NEW! Location is at the Vancouver English Center at 250 Smithe Street. Please see the Google Map here. Parking is available on the street and at various lots around the area.

PS: Meet outside the building at 12:45pm sharp so someone can let you in and please bring all your camera gear/whatever you have so we can be hands on.
Please do you best to be on time!
Ronald
