About
Hi stargazers, I just found this interesting event held by the WHAT (the astronomy meeting in the Havelland region) and I thought I'd share it with you.

Here's the flyer http://www.lugv.brandenburg.de/cms/media.php/lbm1.a.3310.de/flyer-what-2014.pdf
Basically it is a 2 days event with conferences and, yes, observations :) You can find the full program on the links above. Friday is just a few hours with presentations of the group and a short conference, while on Saturday there are books presentations, other conferences of exoplanets and starting from 8pm "IF THE SKY IS CLEAR" observation session with professional telescopes. Well, how cool would that be?
We can join of course, my german sucks but I believe I've read that to go there with your own instruments costs 15 euros... well not that bad (people without instruments can go there for free!). Of course I will bring my stuff, maybe we can pack everything together and just split the 15 euros, who knows!
For people that have never been there, that is the darkest sky you can get around. It's really, really nice. It's not the *best* sky as humidity hits hard over there, but it's definitely possible to have few hours of exciting observations.
I am thinking about going there Friday evening to do some networking with the astronomers over there, and probably staying there overnight. Think if you want to join me Friday or come only Saturday evening.
Well, have a great day and as usual write here on the group or whatsapp chat so that we can organize cars and whatnot.
Ciao!!
Corrado
(finger crossed for clear sky on Saturday 30th!!)
