AmsterdamPHP Community Hackathon

About

You have learned to test at our Testfest. Now, come and learn about coding, working in a team and contributing to Open Source Projects at our upcoming hackathon!

This hackathon is not about creating and mashing up API's, its about giving back to the projects we love and learning while doing that. Practice and peer programming are playing a huge role in our learning process and we want to promote that.

We will bring together a few OSS projects and their mentors or creators to help you get into contributing, testing, learning the process of opening pull requests and getting them reviewed and everything related to that. If you've got a suggestion for an OSS project of your own, we would love to hear about it and get in touch.

So, come out and join us for some fun hacking and an educational day. We will be providing drinks and food, so we've got your back, we may even have some cool prizes to share around!

Very important: this is a "bring your own laptop" deal!

Check out this space regularly for instructions related to the event. We will be making further announcements once the projects are defined.

Confirmed Projects:

• phpDocumentor - Mike van Riel

• AmsterdamPHP projects - Rafael and Pascal
