There is some great Open Source Software out there, but it needs your help. Software such as ProTalk and phpDocumentor need more tests to provide even better services. This is where the TestFest comes in.

This month we will be giving the PFZ group our support and helping them organize, in our backyard, a July TestFest. Its very simple, if you wish to come, let us know here at meetup, bring you own laptop and come willing to learn and help.

Mentors will be available to help: Mike van Riel and Pascal de Vink. They will help people get started and guide them towards finding areas to test and getting tests written. Don't worry if you have no experience in writing tests, it's easy and this is a great opportunity to work on your knowledge.

This is a great way to give back and a great learning experience, so join us at the Optimizely office (Egelantiersstraat 143) on the 20th of July.

Note

You need to bring your own computer with the following software:

VirtualBox (https://www.virtualbox.org/) Vagrant (http://www.vagrantup.com/) Git (http://git-scm.com/) As we'll have mentors for phpDocumentor and ProTalk, you can already set up the virtual machines for those projects after you've installed the prerequisite software.

Please make sure you've already got these tools set up so we can get right into writing tests!

Hope to see you there!
