About

[0x2D6C203133337] - The Meet

November is just around the corner, and there's no slowing down! We've cooked up another round of talks featuring two familiar community faces, ready to share hard-earned knowledge, fresh perspectives, and plenty of tips and tricks to keep those security gears turning!

To kick things off, João Pedro Dias (@jpdias) is taking us phishing, but this time, we're the ones willingly taking the bait! With AI making suspicious emails look more convincing than ever, the real fun begins after the click. From fake Microsoft login pages to multi-hop redirects, heavily obfuscated scripts, and GitHub releases delivering RATs, this expedition follows the rabbit hole wherever it leads. Expect a collection of curious discoveries, dirty tricks, and real-world examples of what happens when you play along with scammers.

For our second talk, Nuno Humberto (@nunohumberto) will challenge a familiar security assumption: if a machine isn't connected to the network, its data should be safe. Right? Well, maybe not! We'll explore the fascinating world of unconventional data exfiltration, where sound, blinking LEDs, electromagnetic signals, and even temperature can become unexpected communication channels. From clever research to surprising techniques that make supposedly isolated systems leak data, this is a deep dive into why an air gap isn't always the end of the story.

Just a friendly reminder, this is an in-person event. Before RSVPing, please double-check that you can attend and be there in person. Good logistics rely on it! And a quick note regarding venue rules, please be mindful when taking photos and avoid capturing the company space, screens, and staff.

In the meantime, you can join our Slack chat to discuss all kinds of hackish stuff and, of course, interact with other members.

Don't miss out. Your FOMO will be justified if you are looking to level up your security game.
